Updates & News |
My work at the local archives continues and on this
page
I will be publishing news of my progress and any major discoveries. |
| Nov 3, 2011 |
Hi all,
Sorry I’ve not been in touch, but here I am now.
Recently I have acquired the archive material of the late John Richards, some of which I will endeavour to pass on to local history societies and archive services. It will take some time to process.
Work is proceeding at a pace on the 2nd edition of Walsall and Wolverhampton CD, due out in autumn 2012.
The research continues.

Hi all,
Thanks to those of you who have used the CDs at libraries, or have bought your own copies. Thanks also to those of you who supply me with queries and more importantly added information. If anyone out there would like to let me know how you have found the CDs have helped / hindered your own research, I would be delighted to hear from you. I can then list your thoughts on the website.
Thanks to those who have bought the new Dudley 2nd edition CD. I hope that you find it useful / interesting.
I have been gathering more and more information on Sandwell pubs, and it is looking a possibility that a 3rd edition of Sandwell is more likely than a 2nd edition of Walsall and Wolverhampton. My supporters in Walsall and Wolverhampton, however, think that a 2nd edition should be my priority. We shall see.
Also I am being nagged by my friends and advisors to put more work into the Brewers, Maltsters, Coopers etc. CD.
The research continues.

Sandwell CD - 2nd Edition Launched
Two years have passed since the Sandwell CD came
out. In that time I have looked at a lot more sources of information (discovering
some new old pubs), acquired many more photographs, and made many helpful
friends.
This second edition is packed with much more than the first. Not only
is it bigger, but the layout is much better. Each pub has its own page(s),
making it easier to find what you want, and printing is a doddle. The
majority of pubs have much more information, and a number of anomalies
on the first edition have been ironed out. |
